Yieldora provides free financial calculators built specifically for Indian investors, using the actual formulas applied by banks, SEBI-registered mutual funds, LIC, and the Income Tax Department. Every result is shown in the way Indians think about money — in lakhs and crores, with Indian tax rules, and with Indian financial products as inputs.
Our SIP, lumpsum, and step-up calculators use the standard compounding formula applied by AMCs. The XIRR calculator handles irregular cashflows that a simple return percentage cannot capture, which matters when comparing a SIP started mid-year against a fixed deposit.
LIC calculators on Yieldora cover 19 specific plans including Jeevan Utsav, Jeevan Umang, Jeevan Anand, and Bima Shree, using the exact tabular premiums, mode rebates, guaranteed additions, and bonus rates published by LIC. GST is shown at Rs 0 from 22 September 2025.
The income tax calculator covers both old and new tax regimes for FY 2025-26 including surcharges and cess. The salary calculator breaks down CTC to in-hand take-home accounting for EPF, professional tax, and standard deduction under both regimes.
Home loan, car loan, and general EMI calculators use the standard reducing balance method. The amortisation table shows the exact split between principal and interest for every month of the loan tenure, so you know the true cost before signing.
PPF, NSC, SSY, SCSS, and Post Office MIS calculators use current interest rates notified by the Ministry of Finance. The APY calculator covers all 5 pension slabs for subscribers aged 18 to 40, matching the PFRDA contribution table exactly.
The NPS calculator models both Tier 1 and Tier 2 corpus at retirement, with annuity income projections. The EPF calculator applies the current 8.25% interest rate and accounts for the employer contribution split between EPF and EPS under the PF Act.
Yes. Each calculator uses the same formula the relevant institution applies. SIP returns use the standard compound interest formula used by AMFI. LIC premiums match the tabular rates in LIC's published brochures. Income tax figures follow the Finance Act for the relevant year. Results may differ slightly from institution statements due to rounding conventions, but the difference is typically under Rs 10.
No. All 49 calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is stored, sent to a server, or connected to your account anywhere. You can close the tab and all inputs are gone.
Yieldora currently covers 19 LIC plans including the most searched ones: Jeevan Utsav (Plan 771), Jeevan Utsav Single Premium (Plan 883), Jeevan Umang (Plan 745), New Jeevan Anand (Plan 815), New Endowment Plan, Single Premium Endowment, Bima Shree, New Money Back 20 and 25 year, New Tech-Term (Plan 954), New Jeevan Amar (Plan 955), Amritbaal (Plan 774), Jeevan Labh, Jeevan Lakshya, and Bima Jyoti. New plans are added regularly.
The SIP calculator uses the future value of an annuity formula: FV = P x ((1 + r)^n - 1) / r x (1 + r), where P is the monthly amount, r is the monthly rate (annual rate divided by 12), and n is the number of months. The expected return rate is an assumption — actual mutual fund returns vary and are not guaranteed.
Most calculators work for NRIs since the underlying financial products (SIP, FD, LIC) are available to NRIs. However, the income tax calculator is currently scoped to resident Indian tax rules only. NRI-specific tax treatment (TDS on NRO/NRE accounts, DTAA benefits) is not yet covered.
